My goal for thorwing is to try and throw the furtherest by standing with my feet a part and pointing and bending my arms back then throwing the ball.

going to the wedding

                                        

       In the long weekend I went to a wedding in kaitaia it was an long trip it was really cool my favorite bit was when I got to see Mckenize and Tayla. When we got to have dinner at the dinner table they had a gold ox that had to chocolates in it they where yummy. My dad got have a speach that was really cool.

Term 4 Goal

My goal for next term is to try and reach my School Journals (instead of Junior Journals) for reading if I don't reach it that is ok. Next term I want to put more of my learning on my blog I really want to put a voicethread on my blog because I want to share my subjects with people and they can put there voicethread  message on it to, that would be really cool I also want to put the 'like, cool and interesting' tabs on my blog for people to tick.

Writing-Describing a character

 

I think he is of Alice in Wonderland. He looks a bit evil he has lots of things on his hat it looks like he went to a rubbish bin and took things out and stuck them on his hat the
 smell is terribly awful. His nails look like mud has been smudged. He looks like a clown with a dirty tea cup. His eyebrows look like hair going up on the side it is so long it is like sticks poniting upwards.He can hypotnitise you and he will make you do stuff.

Writing-Describing a Setting

WALT: Describe a setting using lots of adjectives to make it interesting for the reader.


This house looks like a humungus building with an ordinary house on the side it looks like a rocket on the side geting reading to blast off. This house is in the city heaps of people are walking past and looking at it like they didn't know what it was it. A rich man owns this house because it is big and it looks like it would of cost a millon dollars it looks like a humungus piece of chase in the shape of a square.The windows look like a bar of delicous chocolate. The floor is like a mars bar split into a square.

Anger Poem - Take 2

We have been writing emotion poems first we wrote one following a structure of what it looked like, smelt like, felt like, tasted like and sounded like. This time we had to come up with our own free verse poem using the emotion card of anger to help for inspiration.

cross country

WOW cross country was awesome even though I didn't get a card I was so proud of myself  that I ran a half then two hole laps of the field it was so hot there on the field it was little bit hard but I tried my best.

Room 11's Assembly

My favourite part was sharing my groups hard work we made a story called One Fierce Dog and the Three Sneaky Cats even though Tawhiao wasn't there Sofia, Gina and me still carried on with the story and I had a good good time.

Sound

The most interesting thing I learnt about sound was that sound moves in waves. The bigger the waves the higher the sound the smaller the waves the lower the sound.

Reciprocal Reading

I learnt from Reciprocal reading that you need to work as a group and listen to the person talking. From Reciprocal reading I have moved up to dark green level 23 I was proud of myself.

Measurement

We have been learning about Measurement for maths. In my group we measured how many of our hands it took to measure the length of the couch. Measurement is fun to learn you should try it some time. My best bit about it was learning  the different types of things that you measure. I know that I can measure a mouse's tail in (mm).Today we have just learnt about Mass I know that you can measure butter in pounds.

Choir

Wow what an amazing time at Maeroa school when I  got to the front gate all of the Vardon choir waited for Mrs Thomas but when Mrs Thomas came we finally went into Maeroa we went into the hall we noticed  a lot of people that used to come to Vardon. The schools that were there were  Frankton School Forest Lake School. When we sat down on the seats that were in the hall we started to sing our songs. Our songs were 'The Climb,' 'Video Killed The Radio Star,' 'My Boy Lollipop,' 'It Was The Best Day Ever,' 'Forever Strong,' and 'Three Little Birds.'  Then we had lunch we got stuck in the corridor when the bell went everyone pushed and shoved to get out of the door we had a yummy lunch. After  lunch we kept on singing  when we got to school back at  2.00 O'Clock we meet back in Room 3 we got our t-shirts all  of us went back to our class  when the the ball rang we went home we stayed at home for a long time until the concert started we went into the Maeroa hall we sat down on the seats. Then we started to sing then it was our turn to to perform 'Three Little Birds,'  for one of the Maeroa songs two ballet people did some moves to the song. They were so good at it for the last song we had our glowsticks we had one minute to do it with the song they turned off the lights we waved our lights it was so awesome I wish I could go again.

Procedure writing

I need to work on my procedure because Amelia's origami whale didn't turn out very well also I need to work on my instructions and make them clearer so Amelia can understand me. Next time I write a procedure I will work hard to make these instructions clear.

Performing our play

I liked the play because Rhiannon/Amelia/Alex/Shaynielee/Gina/Tawhiao learnt all of their lines before we did our play but Tawhiao got a little fright so he needed the book but he stopped and he didn't need the book. After we had finished I felt proud of the group and myself.

Mini Speech

I need to work on speaking louder and making some eye contact with the class.

Book Fair

 Today we visited the bookfair in our school library. Miss Workman came and read us a story after morning tea. On Friday we are having a character dress up day to celebrate book week. My favourite book was the lost kitten because it tells you where the lost kitten was lost. 

ANZAC Day

Anzac day is a day to remember those who gave their lives for what must have been one of military's greatest blunders.

Jump Jam Performance

I performed at the Teddy Bears Picnic it was boiling there so after I did three songs I got an ice-block. I was nervous but our whole group still perserved. Watch my whole group perform at the Teddy Bears Picnic.

Survivor Challenge-Week 3

In Survivor Week 3 we did the hoop and the human knot challenge. What we had to do was the human knot Mrs Head got us into a knot and with the Mighty Warriors got out of their knot first then the Spotty Dotty Guinea Pigs, Mighty Wolves then the Golden Eagles. With the hoop we had to do a straight line holding hands with our group we had to help each other get through the hoop.   

Survivor Challenge-Week 2

Last week we did a three legged race all of the teams took part in it. It was a big challenge
but every one had fun. The Spotty Dotty Guinea Pigs have got a total of 35 points Mighty Wolves have got a total of 45 points Mighty Warriors have got 35 points and Golden Eagles 45 points. It was so important to help your team take the elastic off their feet and help others put it on and cheer your team so that they could go faster.            

         

Survivor Challenge

For our first Survivor Challenge we had to make up a jingle and a team name like the Mightly Wolves. After we finished making our jingle Mrs Head videoed us. After everyone in Room 11 was done Mrs Head wrote up our team points and team names. My team got 25 points, everyone gets five points for giving it a try and then you get 20 points for having the best teamwork.

Statistics

Last week we did tally charts. We did them with Mrs Head and we also did some on the courts. What you had to do was to tally up how many there were so Gina put down 20 and I had to group them in fives. You do four lines down and then if you need to do five you put a line through the middle of the other lines.

Welcome back to 2012

This year I am looking forward to doing lots of swimming because I want to get better at freestyle.

My goal for this term is to try and do my circle arms and on the third arm I need to turn by head to the side and breath.
